The Pianist is a biographical war movie which directed by Roman Polanski and starring Adrien Brody who got an Oscar for his role. It was about Wladyslaw Szpilman ( Adrien Brody), a famous Polish Jews who was working as the pianist for Warsaw Radio. This story begins when the Nazis first arrived and started to take over their place. This has made them living in hunger, death and humiliation. It was a privileged when Szpilman is saved from a labour camp and this makes him hiding, battling illness and searching for his own foods in order to survive.
Because of his determination and efforts to survive, he succeeds to bear up until to the end. I felt very satisfied when the Jews gets back their freedom while Szpilman returned to his normal life and started to play piano again. He is not a hero, but he is totally a survivor in this movie.

At first, I thought this movie was really bored since I was the one who did not have any interest on war movie at all. Plus, I did not really get what they are talking about due to the sound system seems to be little bit slow. The scene when they talked in German also has made me lost since there is no subtitle available. However, this movie has made my eyes opened widely when I watched the scene where Nazis, the heartless people has tortured and murdered an innocent people. For example, an old man in a wheelchair was thrown through a window by the Nazis. It was like I was in that movie and I can feel all those pains that the innocent people faced. Other scene that has touched my heart is when Szpilman was playing piano. The rhythm of the music sounds really wonderful. That was when I found out that this movie was actually an interesting movie.
In my opinion, this movie has made me realize that I lived in such a harmony and peaceful country. I really cannot imagine how I will manage my life if I stayed in those cruel and heartless countries. As a Malaysian, we should be grateful since there is no symbol of torturing and murdering an innocent people in our country.
im proud to be a Malaysian:)
